A team lead by Prof. Hoe Joon Kim has recently reported a high efficiency fine dust collection and sensing platform. The piezoelectric resonant sensor with an integrated-heater can control the adhesion properties of the PS film (between sticky and rigid state) in real-time, and thus suited for direct and rapid dust sensing. Dr. Kim believes the sensor can be applied to viruses, chemicals, and toxic nanoparticles detections in the future. This work was coauthors with researchers from Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials (KIMM).
